Wudu is the ritual ablution in Islam, involving washing specific parts of the body—face, hands, arms, head, and feet—with water before prayer and certain acts of worship. It is distinct from ghusl, which is a full-body ritual purification required after major impurity, whereas wudu is for maintaining regular spiritual cleanliness.
